Not as a conversation starter, of course.  It's a response emphasizing opposition to a previously stated idea.


-- Is that the way you like it?

-- No!  (You misunderstood.) That's the way I don't like it.


As an isolated sentence, That's not the way I like it is more natural.

This may be idiosyncratic on my part, but I would call both uses of create in that sentence "absolute usage of a transitive verb".  No object is stated, but something (vague, unspecific, general) is implied.  Compare:  Tonight he ate in a way he has never eaten before.


ways is not the object of created, if that's the angle you're taking.
