Hi everyone! Maybe I will help you by suggesting 2-3 methods to prevent racism. The first one is very simple and difficult at the same time: to respect everyone, doesn't  matter of what nationality and race.  The second one is to to spent more time together. And in addition, to be tolerant. For example, in my institute study guys of different races, and only with guys from caucasus we have some problems not because of their nationality but their tradition to communicate with themselves almost all the time. They do not accept our traditions living here, everywhere walk by crowds together and it prevens from better communications with us. On the other hand, those of them who live in moscow from the birth have good relations with us. So I believe it is the question of the improvement of  civil society! I will be glad to listen to your opinions =)

Love your neighbor as you love yourself...(well most of us have heard the golden rule)

How can you say you love God, whom you have not seen, and yet not love your brothers and sisters whom you can see?...I John chapter 4, biblical paraphrase

What's all this about color blindness? I have to ask.

Should we not love in spirit and in truth?

Just my thoughts as I jot down a few lines today.

I've seen certain views

Behind the Color Blind
By Nordette Adams

You say you see no color.
I say you're full of it!*
I hope when you look at me
you see black a little bit,
for when you say you see me
how can that really be
when part of who I am
is my ethnicity?

I like my hair, my skin tone,
I like my heritage;
It influences my art
enriches how I live.
I like your hair and color
and even your eyes too,
one of my favorite hues is
that lovely shade of blue.

But I wouldn't want to be you,
I like myself just fine,
and don't want you to be me;
we'll both get there in time.
I know you like Scott Joplin,
and I love a Bernstein score,
I love good gumbo and pot pies,
one flavor'd be a bore.

When we escape these bodies,
and meet at heaven's gate,
then we can say no color,
We'll have nothing to debate.
We'll be at peace in truth,
and understand all things,
but until then let's be real...
Enjoy what difference brings!
And until that day in glory
when we are truly one,
let's love ourselves in color,
not pretend that we see none.

Consider what it means,
to love without condition,
it means to see all sides of me,
yet love is your decision.
To be high but lay down low,
and love beyond yourself
is the best way to love others,
and have spiritual wealth.
But to claim you see no color,
and smile like all is fine
is to say you don't see wholely
and if so, we see you're blind.

I think it's okay to be racist. There is nothing wrong with it. You have your opinion and we have ours. Just because we don't like other people for there race, religion etc. doesn't mean we are bad people. This is a free country, supposively. Not to mention how many immigrants are smuggled into this country. You all keep supporting all of these different races and cultures no wonder are country is going to be over runned.

I've just read an article concerning the racism in South Africa. It is said that the Whites poured their urine in food served for the Blacks. I really got so angry. What the hell is so called racism? Is it not true that the White, the Black and the Yellow are all humans? What's wrong with the skin color? I can't get that.

Trang Nguyen,I also have read a lot about your country(Vietnam War) and I think that is sufficient to warm one's blood. But so what ?There are a lot of people who always think themselves superior .No one can stop them thinking like that.Sad

Jhumjhum, I'm glad that you know (just) something about my country (not so a lot as you said). You know Vietnam through its war history. That's not enough, right? What about the present Vietnam? Don't you find anything about it? You may come talk to a strange veteran: "Oh, I know a lot about you. Your loss, pain, suffering, courage, blah blah blah in WAR." You accidentally dig out his red - tinted past. You view him partially, and of course "partially" can't take the name of "a lot". Smile Well, I mean it. Find more about my contemporary Vietnam. I sure get excited when one day you'll tell me: "Ah, Vietnam. I know it. Ha Long is one of the most wonderful bay in the world. Hanoi, the most peaceful city. Microsoft invests in Ho Chi Minh City building the biggest chipset manufacturing factory in South East Asia." Big Smile I hope that's not too much to ask for. By the way, where are you from, Jhumjhum?
