Hello Sir,

1. No, I was not daydreaming.

I have to frame a question to get the correct answer. The question word is given  as "Were".

a) Were you daydreaming?

b) Were you not daydreaming?

Which one is correct?

The positive form (without "not") is used in the question.
Either a "yes" or "no" is possible in the answer, of course.
