You are going to study computer science? I majored in computer software in university and I have been working in this field for years.

My advice for a software student is to pay attention to those basic principles such as data structure, algorithm, compiler, operating system, database principles, etc. After you have a good understanding of it, you may advanced to more complex courses such as OOD/OOA, project management, etc.
