Hallo,

im english and have lived in Germany for the last 35 years. My husband ( a lovely bloke) is german and my two girls are therefor half german with german passports. Germany is a lovely country as far as scenary is concerned. It has many things that i like, but unfortunatly my experience with a many of its people is not positive. Because they are still racist on the whole. And intolerably arrogant. Although everything is a copy of america - films, music, fashion, lifestyle, english expressions used daily etc. - they ignore this and there is a lot of bad feeling against america. Also against england. But especially the former. There is a kind of jealousy. What i am writing here has nothing to do with prejudice - its fact. German people think they are the nub of the word - the only country with culture! They are also very arrogant and are lacking in conscience. They no longer want to know anything about the second world war or crimes against the jews and they also dont want to know or discuss anything to do with the rasicim of today. A survey said that every second german was anti-ausländer.  On the whole it is a cold atmosphere. Im not saying that all germans are the same. Im married to one and he is absolutly open to the rest of the world. As are quite a few.But there are too many that arnt. And surprisingly enough im not talking about the badly educated either.

Most foreignors living here live in kind of Ghettos. A lot turkish immigrants who came over to work here in the late 50s - doing the dirty work that most germans didnt fancy doing, and ruining their health in the process - live in their own part of town. For instance while selling our other house, a turkish family came to have a look and was thinking of buying. What a protest in our street (german only!) at the thought that turks might be living there. And while we were looking for anther house ourselves, almost the first thing that most estate agents said was  - you dont want to live there - too many foreignors. I dont know where this hate comes from. Most of the turkish community lives here peaceably and normally, going about their business.  There are so many things and occurances i could write about - too much to write here.

And concerning writing - if i could write this in german it would have been easier for me. Because i have spoken the language daily for the last 30 odd years and have therefor forgotten a lot of my own, as visits to england were few, due to the fact that my family no longer lives there.

All i can say is - i am happy here within my own family, but have given up trying to belong. Once a foreignor allways a foreignor!

well let me say :   

im german im 20 and i dont really have something to do with all that past/history stuff. i played alot of online games and in at least 50% of my chats in which i told people im german  it was:   NAZI!!!        and u know what ?  i dont give a ***   people dont even know what Nazi  is  even i a am a nazi  its nothing that bad  NAZI = NAtional soZIalist which means   you people and your country is the most important thing to care about. hating others is not included  but history kinda changed the meaning of the word.  communism isnt something bad too  its like everyone is equal and everything is owned by everyone  but just like national solialism , the idea of communism was bad executed.

the other thing y i dont care about what those  less intellectuel people say is, if they think being nazi means hating others, they are the nazis because they hate germans.

u can argue about who is the bad guy and who is the good guy  but let me tell u this     -sry if im wrong with the nations ok?  -    a serb killed the austrian prince before WW1   (WW1 the serbs fault ?)     france was allied with serbia(?) and saw a chance to destroy its enemy germany which ally of austria  by startig war with germany (WW1 fault of France?)   all other nations  joined in (WW1 their fault?)  then  germany lost  and because germany was the bigger "treat or had more old enemies"  it was:    "Germany its all your fault  give us  stupid ammounts of money and whatever we want  blablabla etc   make us fat nerds rich and give us your territory we need more people to be under our stupid control.

RESULT:  Germany  was the only reason the war started ( OK whatever u say  u proud great nations which won the war) Germany lost huge ammount of territory and had to pay  totally nonsense ammounts of money to the winners. 

later Hitler took the chance to gain popularity  which all those events before with the  unfair end of the war etc. and was able to start WW2 ( so is WW2 the fault of the  great proud nations who had such a great plan and tried to suck out all what they could of germany to get richer) 

Stalin wanted to conquer europe but as he saw that Hitler was doing so  he thougth  :"ey cool lets use this schnauzer-guy to weaken europe so we can join in at the end to gain control of europe"  but he totally failed coz america joined in and destroyed his plans ,well i guess stalin failed to becauce he had 1 gun for 3 soldiers lol.

RESULT AFTER WW2 : Germany lost, german territory was stolen again  mostly especially by russia 

( just a question  y the hell did the winner idiots stole parts of the country ??? what does a person living in  east prussia or  silesia to do with a nerd having control in Berlin ????     answer: The so called good ones  are just another crowd of bad idiots wanting power land and money, u dont believe me ?   ok tell me y the GREAT SOVIET UNION took the eastern half of Poland and  gave Poland the eastern part of Germany ???  correct: russia wanted to expand .

Its always easier to blame the loser for the things that happened  and its always easier to blame others and not oneself.

If its germany's fault  then its the fault of all other nations connected to this history

the world and especially the worlds dumb governments  placed a huuuuge burden on germany, so i think  its enough  with that stupid  YOU NAZI  stuff  if someone can call germans  NAZIS  then just the Jews who lost their families    and i dont even think its their right to call germans NAZIS  or to hate Germans because not the Germans killed the Jews  the NAZIS did ,which included  polish french  italian german austrian  people etc. with an austrian as the Fuehrer.

Nazi Reich = Sovier Union    difference  holocaust  nothing else

and without the holocaust  Nazi Reich is nothing different from the rest of the  nations with a crazy leader   but there are still two small but important difference

1. WW2 was the "last" super-disaster in world history  at least it was for about 60 years = enough time to burn the bad german image to the human brains

2. the modern age    do you have  videos about what Napoleon did ?  no ? have u had radio broadcasts about the terror of the war of Caesar, Napoleon etc.  so that millions of people could listen and knew about the facts ?   no ?   hmm  

i think these 2 things  make a huge  difference  in  how the war felt and burned into the brains

if u think the U.S nuking of japan was great,  wodka soviets rapping around germany and eastern europe and stealing all the land was cool,  and cant accept the fact that italy and austria etc. were part of the AXIS POWERS (Achsenmächte) ,the unfair treatment of germany after both WW's, not everyone who was nazi knew about those crimes during the war and not every german was nazi and alot of people of other nations were nazi's too   then u have the right to  say  STUPID GERMANS.
