I want to know what you call this sign,「」or『』and how is the pronunciation of it in English.

Give me a hand, please. Thanks!

Hi Lollipop,

You've used a font I don't have so I only see squares. Can you find another way to post it? Or maybe someone else has more fonts loaded.

Barbara, who answers in American English. My housekeeping skills attest to the truth of the second law of thermodynamics: Left to themselves, things get more and more random!

I can see something, but I have no idea what to call them -- or, for that matter, how they would be used. Huh? [:^)] They look like  the upper left corner and lower right corner of a square, without the rest of the square.  They remind me of the little gummed corners we used to use to mount photos in a scrapbook.  Is that what you intended to post, Lollipop, or did my computer transform your characters into something else?  What would you do with them?
