All i know is that some years ago it was difficult to visit the country. Their government were very suspicious about the west and the country was essentially closed and off limits to the western people.    Tongue Tied [:S]

The reference was not to today's Albania but the Albania of the 1980s when a Communist regime ruled the country. All people understandably take pride in their country, and Albanians are not an exception. However, people living in the iron-curtain countries in the days of Socialism were not proud of their single-party system, which had been forced upon them. Consider how quick they were to reject it when given a chance.

It is a fact that the very inhabitants of these countries cracked some of the best jokes about their social system and the bureaucracy it entailed.

Cheers
