I love the Netherlands!

I've been to Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Rossendal (Okay, I don't know if I wrote them correctly).

It's been ages since I last visited it, so, I'm pretty sure it has changed a lot.   Just hope next time I go, you still have those police-men ridding horses!Smile [:)]

I've never been there, but I met a number of Dutch people. When my daughter was small she was dreaming of going to Amsterdam... She read about the city and fell in love with it.
Somehow I want to visit this country too. I just happenned to see it once from the air.

Holland, Holland, omgish!  I love,  love that name!  Sounds really good to my ear drum and as if for me one of the best place in the universal. I already am in love with Holland even though I've never never been there. Definintely  on my visiting list when I save enough money.  Holland!!!!! I will visit you one day!

1)Is the city really liberal?      Holland is a country, and it's mostly liberal yes

2)How did that name come from?  Well, that's a good question, Hol means hollow in holland, and our land is under sealevel, so i guess that's the idea behind it.

3)Is prostitution legal? yes it is, but you'll only see it in the big city's where a lot of tourists are

4)Where is the best sightseeing in the city? depends which cityStick out tongue [:P] but you've got to go to madurodam, all of hollands important buildings made small.

5)Where is the best museum in the city? i like Nemo, it's very nice for children too, and if you want to see more paintings you should go to het rijksmuseum or het van gogh museum, the museum of communication is fun too.

6)Where is the best place to pick up girls? uh..a bar? just like other country's

7)Are girls hot? we are very hotStick out tongue [:P] stylish and cool, hahahahahhaha

8)What kind the food do you recommend? when you're in holland you have to ask for a broodje unox, and just go to a bakery and look at the food there, and cheese of course!

9)Is there a Chinatown in the city? The city's aren't big enough for a whole chinatown, but we do have a lot of chinees restaurantsStick out tongue [:P] BAMI PANGANG !!

10)How does the city treat minority?  we have the best support system in the world, everyone has the same chances here.

11)How is the goverment? difficult

12)Can you tell me a little bit about tulip in Holland?  Is Holland the best place to grow tulip? well, to be honest i've seen tulips in canada and those were much more pretty, but we have a lot of tulip fields, especially around amsterdam, dutch land is very good for growing stuff, cause it has a lot of water and uh..don't know how to say it but it's healthy for plantsStick out tongue [:P]

13)How big the city's population is? Amsterdam doesn't have a million people living in it, and that's the biggest city, so that's not that big, our population is 16 million people.

14)Is the city big? i don't know if you've ever seen a picture of holland, but because we have little space we know very good how to use it. we keep the city's not to crowded and have special suburbs and stuff that if i need to explain that it would take me a weekStick out tongue [:P]

15)What is Holland famous for? tulips, cheese, wooden shoes, soft-drugs, prostitution, windmills, cycling

16)Who is the Holland  famous painter in the history? Rembrandt van Rijn, Mondriaan

17)What kind of the sports do they play? (soccer?) Soccer is very popular here, but we also play badminton, tennis, we are very good in ice skating, and other universal sports.

18)Can you tell me a little bit of Amesteradam? It's very cool, you can walk everything, it has good shopping, museums, sight seeing and you hear all kind of languages when you walk there.

19)Can you tell me about historical sites? well, you just have to see themStick out tongue [:P]

20) What religion  do they parctice? well, especially the christianity, but we also have a lot of other religions present here.

Thank you very much!

Hi Floxflow

In answer to somebody else's question I might say that Vincent van Gogh is also a very famous Dutch painter even though he starved in his lifetime and only sold one or two paintings.

The reason I like Holland is the true permissiveness of the Dutch society. (Heineken beer isn't bad either. Smile [:)]) You'll be in for a lot of trouble as the glaciers and polar ice melt, though. But let's not worry about that too much right now. Mankind may wise up and actually do something about that before it's too late, even though I have my doubts...

I hope you don't mind my saying it but I honestly think you could pay a little less attention to cleanliness. Some people wash the outside walls of their houses in Holland  -  at least that's what I've been told. I think you should let the rains of heaven attend to that.Smile [:)]
