Anonymous:hi there thats a simple answer say ur in default with a finance company u sign a contract with them saying you will commit to doing something for them to the contract ends and of course that is paying them money weekly or fortnightly whatever to the money you borrowed is payed back. but if u fail to met the contracts obligations so if u fail to pay them back that means your in default meaning you broke the contract u owe them that much money you stopt meting your agreement so they will then put on ur credit file that your in default of whatever the cost is that you owe them so other finance companys can see what creditablity you have to borrowing money ur trust really and it can also be in default even if u miss a few payments even if your paying them back still.....
other meanings for the word default means if the other team doesnt show up to the rugby game they are in default giving the team who did turn up the win, the fictory ....
