What does 'r.a.' mean in the following context?

It should be an Italian abbreviation for "Risponditore Automatico." (Mind, I had to search for it ... I never saw it before!)

I don't know the proper word in English (could it be "Interactive Voice Response"?)
It's kind of an answerphone / answering machine where you get information and directions from a computerised voice (something like "If you want X, then press 1; if you want Y, press 2" ... ), usually used in customer assistance centres.
