My creed is that: Happiness is the only good. The place to be happy is here. The time to be happy is now. The way to be happy is to make others so.

I have never heard of giving someone a present for New Year, only a kiss when the clock strikes twelveWink [;)] . But anyway, if you must give a gift, and you need advice, tell us, is your friend a girl or a boy? How old is he/she? What are his/her interests? What is your budget?

My friend is a girl. She is 30 years old. She is really smart! She's not married. She is unconventional person and she likes original things. And as for budget... i think this information will not help, because I'm from Russia... we have different money...
Once I made her a gift... it was a big frame, where I put white sheet of paper, stuck leaves of different trees and painted free space with light-blue... it was beautiful and She was absolutely happy!

That was a really sweet thing for you to do. You seem to be the kind of person who really puts her love into giving presents, and that is the best way. Maybe you could get her a nice book, or perhaps you could cook her something special? These are two other great gestures, because they also require quite a bit of effort. What do you think?

Definitely, a nice meal, some good wine or champaign or whatever drink, some poetry or something spiritual to welcome the new year and, yeah something sexy. What do you think? Do you think this sounds too girlish?

Book, yes! I remembered when we went shopping together we came into a bookshop and she said that she wanted to have one book... This book contains many pictures with animals and birds and inscription, as a rule, encouraging sayings... I think she needs it now, because recently she has experienced breaking down with her boy-friend.
So, we are going to celebrate New Year together. We are going to another city to change circumstance.
Anyway I think this book will help her and it will remind her of the New Year and New life /I hope/ as well!Wink [;)]

Thank you very much!!!!!Smile [:)]

No, it's okay
Of course, it goes without saying! we will have candles, Champaign and romantic, then we'll walk along the streets and throw snowballs at each other! but don't forget, we are two girls... we cannot have anything sexy togetherBig Smile [:D]
We just want to have some rest from our daily life... something new... When you do something unusual or behave like a child you really get much pleasure and positive emotions.

You know, in Russia people usually say about presents: there are good gifts, there are bad ones and there is a book. I don’t know why, but not everyone likes to get a book for the holiday. Anyway it depends on a person, a book and the way you gift it. /It’s just infoBig Smile [:D]/
