Greetings to those who participated in this thread.

Waiti, now don't go acting innocent. And to the others also, if you want to discuss football there is another thread. This thread was begun by me with the sole intention of discussing about a country, its pros and cons.If you don't like a country, there are better ways of expressing it without bringing in unnecessary profanities and false prejudices. I hope you're mature enough to understand this.

In the future, I expect this thread to be clean.

Savvy,

I didn't talk about football, it was just an eg to me and to say that I was annoying by Waiti's saying.my sayings were ironic, nothing else, even if Waiti said before that he likes to contradict people...No offense   Smile [:)] I don't see profanities here anyway, speak soon

hi everyone,

i'm french and i don't speak english very well so please forgive me for making a lot of mistakes or saying things improperly,

i read all the thread and there's a lot of interesting things. but Waïti, you're unfair. Maybe we're just a "bunch of arrogant grousers" that "keep bragging about the great things we've invented" but certainly not with a cheese-smelling mouth !!! This is ridiculous : 1) do u really think we all like cheese ? Huh? [:^)]      2) don't you ever brush your teeth ? because if you don't, you'll probably smell very bad, there's nothing weird about that... Stick out tongue [:P]

About the "bunch of arrogant grousers always bragging about ...", when you're talking with french people, do we always give you this impression ? Maybe you didn't talk with the right person.. where are you from ?? the country where all the inhabitants are perfect ? Thinking [*-)]

well i'm a little puzzled, does everybody here think the same about us (french) ?

sorry again for all the mistakes..

hoping my message doesn't sound too arrogant,

jux

Hi,

Here's my experience with French people.

I'm Belgian so I think I know what i'm talking about Devil [6]
For you should know that French and Belgian are used to laugh at each other for centuries...
French people have jokes about how stupid the Belgian are, and Belgian have exactly the same jokes about the French...

I must admit that what I taught of France a few years ago was no so brilliant... I think it was due partly from those bloody jokes and partly from the stupid pleasure you can get in thinking you are smarter then the guy living in the other village.

My familly has moved in France two years ago and so I was forced to meet some of them Wink [;)]

And then I learned to look behind the mask and found... an empty space ( Just joking ! can't help it, must be some national heritage of some kind Wink [;)]).

Most seriously, a lot of the people I know there now are nice, honest, have a prety good sence of humour and don't smell cheese at all (but... are still noisy).  Like in... any other country in the wold (the discovery of the century... I know Wink [;)])

How could you possibly juge a whole population on a main feeling... (Yet I have one last doubt about English people... do you really eat jelly ? I mean... really ?)

I really had to change my mind and I'm glad of it.

Hope you'll have a chance to change yours if you need to.

I like Nice, The view is very attractive.  I have alot of  beautjful  photos  of Grenoble. However I don't find the grapevine garden. I love to contemplate the  young girls to pick raisins..The countryside in France is very picturesque. Marseille is a big city.I lthink their ships are marvelous..But I feel strange because it becomes today a center of medicine university Ex marseille. And Bordeaux, this center, too. All of my family like to drink this kind of delicious wine. And the Alpes mountains with their white snow to skate ,the romsntic chalet.     I remember the children of Pyrenee and the famous phrase La verite au dela desPyrenees. At last,ParisRiver Seine Bateau mouche .,all kinds of monuments Eiffel tour.I love Frwnce with its besutiful scenes butI never have the chance to go there.SoI like to see French film. It's very gorgeous!
