It’s a difficult question for any man to answer… Whether to follow his dreams no matter what… Or to give in slowly and let life lead you where it will.

It's "gutsy macho talk" not "a gutsy macho talk" (the second is just about feasible I suppose, but I'm sure that's not what they had in mind). The meaning is just the sum of the individual words, which have their ordinary dictionary definitions.

For your second question, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Country_blues

"gutsy" is an adjective to describe something brave, and sometimes foolish.

That was a gutsy thing to do - walking in front of the bull with a red handkerchief dangling out of your back pocket!

Macho describes someone overly masculine, someone with swagger and bravado. It is usually used as slang.  "Macho Man" was a hit song - and describes the phrase perfectly.

Gutsy macho talk:  "I could beat the tar out of you!"

" Go ahead. Make my day." (Clint Eastwood)

The "blues" is a type of music. It is always sad and speaks of losing a girlfriend, or having no money, and being lonely (often all of the above!)

I love this one by Chuck Berry.  It is typical of the genre.

The country blues is the combination of the blues and country music. Nobody better than Johnny Cash - "Home of the Blues"
