Anonymous:
hello I want to know where and when we use the following sentence in the text.

"i hope this letter finds you well"

and what is the meaning of that
I hope this letter finds you well is a rather hackneyed opening sentence (after the greeting) in a letter to a friend or acquaintance. It is better avoided unless the recipient is known to be recently ill or recovering from an illness.
