What are the meanings of "BY VIRTUE OF"and how can we use this phrase in different sentences.Please give some examples so that i can understand it in a better way.Thanks alot

'By virtue of' means 'because of':

- By virtue of his position he can spend money as he likes.

- By virtue of being a woman you are part of a struggling class.
