Hi!!!! I'm really impressed with all the answeres, so many men so many minds... I've been to Russia this winter. I must say, it's the greatest country in the world! It has been damaged by history heavily, but i'm sure it's gonna reborn... I was shocked with the way how history in megapolises is shown!!!!!! And people there are very friendly and hospitable! But for Russia the world wouldn't be so beautiful... And it's cool that there are still some countries haven't been influenced by USA! It shows Russia as a very strong country!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![Smile [:)]](/emoticons/emotion-1.gif)

I don't like them. They are two face people. Look at the country first of all, isn't there anybody who would care of orphans? any donations? Only murders, lies, drinking, porn, these are what all nation are about. It is distasteful to me, and I had unpleasant personal opinion when I went to visit that country.

That's so 'cute' when Anons come here and drop something about what they have no idea, just to provoke hot debates.

Hhahahah! I 've had a good laugh reading this thread. Thank you very much! ![Smile [:)]](/emoticons/emotion-1.gif) Anyways, I think that people who have absolutely no idea about Russia, have never been there, and only heard something about it during their lessons at school shouldn't really try to evaluate Russia's political and economical life. No offence meant! As to my personal opinion about the country it is very positive, I must confess, but it's really biased due to some reasons ![Smile [:)]](/emoticons/emotion-1.gif) The people...well, there is always room from improvement. But that actually goes for all nations! But what really makes me feel good is that I can see the changes for the better!

I've never been to Russia. I know this country mainly through my reading about their history and the media. I love the story "The first teacher" by Tshinghiz Aitmatov (a Kyrgyzstan author) and the 1925 silent film "Battleship Potemkin" (by Sergei Einsenstein). I like Russian girly look, too. ![Big Smile [:D]](/emoticons/emotion-2.gif)
On the other hand, I'm quite scared of the Skinheads thing and the racism against foreigners. Surely it's not the attitude of all Russian people. But the murders of some foreign students in Moscow recently have created an impression of a not very secure Russia. Am I right?
BTW, I totally agree with someone here that good and bad exist everywhere.

These are outrageous incidets; however, that does not imply that every single foreigner is in grave danger walking the streets of Russia.

Actually the chinese people don't talk a lot about Russia these days, and the relationship between China and Russia seems not so close now than before, there's much less news about Russia in channels. The chinese people usually take a neutral opinion towards the Russians. Japan, athough some(maybe many) chinese people dun like them, it's still the economically most powerful country in Asia, we had better learn some lessons from them of their economical rebuilding after the WWII than just hating them, the most of Japanese are smart and diligent people, we have to admit that. I hope the relationship between China and Japan will be better in the near future.
