for an art exhibition? We say,

A patient is treated by a doctor.

The show is performed by Boston Spirit.

The lecture is given by Professor Smith.

ect., ect..

What about an exhibition? A national tour of the exhibition has reached my town, hosted by a prestigious medical center. What verb should I use in the following sentence,

The reginal medical center merely hosts the exhibition but the exhibition itself is __ by Body Art.

Thanks alot

is being presented or has been assembled might be possible, but I think you're trying to say that (the contents of) the exhibition itself is the work of Body Art.

Thanks very much to Star and Jim for all the suggestions.

"Body Art" is a name I made up for the real organization that handles the exhibition, the fake name might have given out the impression of being an art studio that created the exhibits, but it's not. So "organized" and "presented" are closer to what I'm looking for. Could "assemble" be used in this case? I had thought that word had only to do with manufactured goods, not so?

And Jim, I really appreciate those corrections you made, thanks a lot.

Oh!  Oh!  Oh!  Sudden idea!  Idea I think the verb mount is what you want.

The exhibition was mounted by Body Art.

Google the words

mount exhibition

and you'll find tons of examples.

CJ

assemble can be used in many ways other than for the assembly of manufactured goods.

Smile Thanks. "mount" is not a word I'm familiar with, thanks for contributing to my vocabulary bank.
