Poverty in africa... cause that kills a child every three seconds! (The time to read this post is long enough to kill one or even two children!)

The most fearful thought is such a doubt: among those people in power, are there some people who want war (even in this current world)..?
Such a doubt makes people (including me myself) indifferent to disasters in the world.

And "The price of apathy towards public affairs is ..."

(It's just what I thought now, in responce to Laya&Mom's question.)

In the Merriam-Webster dictionary, a disaster is defined as "a sudden and calamitous event bring great damage, loss, and destruction." So, in my opinion, the tsunami is the greatest disaster, while poverty in Africa is the larger problem.

Yes it's true... I didn't think about that. So, for me, the tsunami is the greatest disater, because it has killed the most of people than any known disaster.

I am sure that "tsunami" is one of the greatest, but it's not the greatest. The greatest disaster had happened when most of the dinosaurs

were killed.

Yes, let's think outside the 'square' and consider other disasters  - not only the three options given.

I think the burning of the library at Alexandria was a big disaster.
Oh, and in living memory, the holocaust was a huge disaster.

My attempt at making a christmas cake last year was also a fairly big disaster, luckily only for those who had to eat it.
