Hi, I heard a word which sounded like in-tell; and according to the context, it should mean a private or internal information which was leaked to public.

Would someone please tell me what's the word?

Thanks.

I think you may have heard the popular shortened version of "intelligence," which means "information," as in the "Central Intelligence Agency."  (It doesn't mean they're smart.)
