the school is renewing the equipments in the chemistry lab, as well as in the biology one .

 is "the equipment" wrong ? why ?

Equipment is uncountable.  There are other problems with the sentence.

The school is renewing the equipment in the chemistry lab, as well as in biology.  'Biology one' sounds odd to me.
