Anonymous:when I came to the U.S. about 2years ago.
I met a American friend at school. I wasn't speak English well but we played together for a few month until I moved.
I think saw him yesterday at my school. ( may be he moved too.) so I think I need to say hi to him when I see him again.
What should I say? I want to show that my English has been improved. Even though It didn't much...
Can I say

So.How have you been? Did you moved to around here?
I have been though a lot. As you know, my mom was sick, she passed away on September last year. I think of her every minute and miss her every day but I am try to do my best for school. (my mom was sick when we played together He knows she was sick.)
What do you do?
I am working at clothing store. only weekends.
I am a shy person.
What also should I say?

And until the person responded with information about himself or asked me questions, I wouldn't say anything else about myself.
