is it correct to use the word "where" in the following form:

The ancient belief where the sun resolved arround the earth was corrected by the scientists of the modern day.

Or can i also say it this way:

The ancient beleif that the sun resolved arround the earth was corrected by the scientists of the modern day.

To me both sound acceptable.

By the way, it's not resovle but revolve, and around is with one 'r'. Smile [:)]

I find this sentece more suitable;

The ancient belief that the earth revolves around the sun has been corrected by modern-day scientists.

  "That" is by far the better choice.

I agree that "that" sounds better, but "where" seems acceptable to me, too.
