Hi everyone...
I stumbled upon this website when I tried to search for ways to learn how to understand British accents.

I'm from Malaysia, but currently in England doing my first year undergraduate. I find it very difficult to get used to everything, mix around and socialise because of cultural differences and language. I dont have much problem understanding written English actually, but when it comes to spoken English...I usually dont get what the others are talking about. Hope that I can solve the problem by being more active in this forum.Wink [;)]

Thanks for reading. ^_^

I'm new here, having stumbled across this forum while reading sites devoted to the differences between British and American English. I'm a student at the University of Southern California (located in Los Angeles, California) which happens to have more international students than any other university in the United States. As an American, American English is my native language (I've had students from other parts of the country tell me that they can detect a Californian accent in my speech).
