Hello

Look at this sentences, which one is correct?

- The witness saw the man being beaten.

- The witness saw the man was being beaten.

The first is correct.
Add "who" before 'was', and the second will be correct also.

The witness saw the man being beaten.

The witness saw (that) the man was being beaten.

Both are possible.
