so i guess, if i were to mean that the person is still feeling sad, (have been feeling sad) would be more appriopriate right? And for (have felt), it shows that i m not feeling sad anymore. AM i right?

Both: have felt and have been feeling convey the same idea of an action that started in the past and continues in the present. However, have been feeling (present perfect continuous) gives more emphasis to the durations of the action than the action itself.

So, in both cases you still feel sad.

If you use simple past, I felt sad you'll convey the idea that you no longer feel sad.

The only one that's idiomatic is "felt sad..."

For the others:
I feel sad since you moved away.
I have been feeling sad since you moved away.
I have felt sad since you moved away.

Which you use depends on the exact meaning you wish to convey.
