Hello

which of the verbs in the sentences describes:

a main event in the story?

a background event?

an event which happened before the other events?

a- Two police officers were talking softly to a boy.

b- He had apparently stumbled and cracked his head.

c- They were wearing commando-style uniforms.

d- They helped the boy up and led him to the card.

e- I had never seen such gentle police.

f- 'Goodnight,' I said and watched them go.

Thanks

Ant_222,

Maybe I am not an expert, I think this post is quiet abstract.  Perhaps, you can offer your answers on my behalf. Drinks [D]

I don't know answers.
