It could be Bag. Because all the words of group B start with a letter "B".

You are correct when you say it's bag, but for a different reason.

bag, and all the words in group A can be preceeded by the word "sand" to give valid english words.

sandbag,sandblast,sandpaper,sandbox,sandbank.

Actually, carpet could be a valid answer from group B as well.

carpet is the only word from group B that you can add the suffix (ing) to.

carpeting, blasting ,papering, boxing, banking.

No, Cradle would work as well if you go with the ing thing--Cradling. As in, cradling a baby or something of the sort.

So it has to be bag.

Cradle would not work by adding (ing) as to get cradling you would have to drop the "e" from cradle.

Well no one ever said you didn't have to use correct English spelling...

"Bag" maybe isn't correct as it's not the only word from group "B" that can be preceeded with the word "sand".

Apparently people of U.S.A may be familiar with "sandcarpet".

Which is a plant in the chickweed, stitchwort and campion family.

So i guess that rules "Bag" out.
