Hi Pucca,

Who wrote the article you read? Probably not an expert in sociology or neuropsychology. You didn't answer my question: Is it possible that a man has a woman's brain, and the other way around?

Hi Englishuser,

The sentence of "If you are male, doesn´t matter how sensitive you are, women will be always more!!(in general)" I didn´t read it in a magazine, it is what I think! In my opinion, a man will never have a woman´s brain...by the way, I don´t know who wrote the article as I read it in the dentist while I was waiting for my turn...

Are you a neurologist, Pucca? A person's sex/gender is not always clear-cut. What about intersexual people's brains?

Dear Englishuser,

No, I´m not a neurologist..it´s only my opinion!!Stick out tongue [:P]
mm..I also think that intersexual people have the brain of their gender..why do you ask??Are they different??

I found this on the net...

Women are more sensitive than men when it comes to pain, according to an Oct 24, 2005, news release from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. A study found that women feel pain more intensely than men because women have more nerve receptors.

Women in the study averaged 34 nerve fibers per square centimeter in the facial skin while men averaged only 17 nerve fibers. Although there is a psychosocial expectation that men will be tougher than women when feeling pain, these findings illustrate that women's lower pain tolerance and threshold are physical Researchers hope that the data compiled from this study will give a new perspective on how to better treat pain in women after surgery.

Hi Pucca,

I have read a lot of articles arguing the opposite. I think we should try not to generalise too much; we're all individuals, not just representatives of our gender!

I agree with Englishuser. We are all individuals, hence no "rules" exist who are more emotional, although, some might regard women as more emotional and sensitive. However, I have met men who were extremely emotional and women who were extremely unemotional and obviously vice versa. But it all boils down to upbringing in my opinion.
