First and foremost Da Grillmatic, ask yourself something. Did you watch Biggie talk before on BET. He had an interview in which he said this. Secondly, what I wrote was for people who are fans of both. Obviously you are a fan of Tupac, by everything you wrote before, anyone can tell, so you sympathize with him. You clearly didn't see or heard the aweful things Tupac did to Big. I never said anything about 2Pac living in Baltimore for 20 or even 10 yrs of his life. Where is he from, where was he born. I am aware that he moved to Cali when he was 2. He also lived in New York for 2 yrs. He is actually good friends with Treach from Naughty by Nature. I will never put this dood down for what he has done for hip-hop. I'm just stating things that True Biggie fans want to say, but are too scared to say because n*gga's like you will come down his throat. Before Tupac died there was an article in Vibe and The Source asking the question. "Is Tupac Crazy". This man is clearly the villian of hip-hop. He never revolutionized me at all. Nas, Big Pun,(most underrated rapper EVER)Biggie, Busta Rhymes, Wu-Tang Clan, KRS-One, Pete-Rock and CL Smooth, Common, the original Slum Village, Blackstar, NWA (real west coast rappers) and a Tribe called Quest influenced me kid. Read everything that I wrote before this, man. If you are over 21 yrs old you would understand what I'm saying. I don't want you to agree with what I'm saying, but I just want some of ya'll to understand this stuff from a person who studies hip-hop and will teach it in College. Hip-hop history 101. I did say good things about Pac. Its not all his fault that he was the villian, his record label and image made him the villian. Deep down he had no life, he read many books, the man was into politics, he basically lived in the recording studio. There were times where he stayed there for 20 hours in a day. The guy truly didn't revolutionize hip-hop. All he is deep down is a west coast version of Nas, they was around at the same time. They were alike, thats why they didn't like each other. That nigga didn't influence everyone. Eminem definately, 50 definately some others really. If Tupac's true nature influenced everyone in hip-hop, it wouldn't be so pop-music-like today. I respect the True Pac, not Tupac. Most rappers now are just stupid and can't wait to sellout. So what most rappers now say, mean nothing to me. Cuz if Nas dies tonight, in 5 yrs everyone and including yourself will say he is the greatest ever. Like Biggie said "You nobody till somebody kills you". Look at all these rappers now man. 99% of these n*gga's don't own a gun till they get famous. You wanna pay attention to fake doods. Go to Allhiphop.com and read what Nas has to say about sellouts. You my friend can't read. Read my stuff better o.k. little boy. Oh by the way I ain't need to curse to get my point across. Ignorant stupid Busta!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Read what I say and take it as an intelligent statement. I never said he sucked or is wack. I said if you are a true Big fan, you can never truly be a true fan of Tupac's. Stupid!!!!!!!!

Oh by the way to all ya'll Nas fans (like myself) I apologize for comparing both of those guys.

This is the last time I will talk to you on the subject. Listen bro to what I have to say. At least we can agree on one thing that hip-hop is wack. If you read what I have to say then, you wouldn't of been as mad as you were. You may be 22, but you cursing and acting up make you sound like you have no reason to argue. I understand your side of the arguement. Believe me I've heard your side soooooooooooooooooooo many times, its sickening. What I wrote was a statement from a person who doesn't kiss Tupac's ass. Do you realize that most white boys hang Tupac Posters in there Rooms. Do you think most of them understand the true nature of the guy? No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They listen to what people say about him. If you were on MTV or BET, would you badmouth a person who is dead. No!!!! Unless you wanted to lose your job. People don't know the truth about him. People are just stupid. They listen to what some faggot on the TV or radio say, and they believe the propaganda, these sellouts are spitting. To quote another great black man, "We are all just Black Zombies" (NAS) I hope you are a True Pac fan, not a fan after the guy died. You can never tell me, only deep in your heart you know the truth. Just take what I wrote as food for thought. You shouldn't of taken that Ish to the heart. To everyone reading this. Love hip-hop, but don't act ingnorant about life, thats why most of hip-hop is Dead. LONG LIVE CONSCIENCE RAP.

Whats up yah.Yo im here to tell you guys to stop talkin about the greatest rappers of all-time because the main topic is on the GREATEST RAPPER ALIVE.So stop talkin about your top-ten favorites.Yes i say favorites because ther isnt a fact on the greatest rappers alive.evrything that evryone says is an opinmost of the rappers of today make bull.

Like 50 cent.he is the worst overated rapper. He always talks about how gangsta he is,but he makes all these love songs.I dont know why he is hating on ja-Rule if they are both the same kind of rappers. From his new Album he hasnt had a video of a gangsta type song.they are all club and love makin joints.

Those that say eminem is the greatest, you are probably just white. He has one of the wackest groups and he makes songs with corny ideas.

The best rapper alive is Nas.Yes he might have songs that are boring, but most of yah is just people who critisize.Alot of you people just listen to his music that is on t.v.If u wanna here a great nas album,go cop 4 albums that i think that are hott.
1.Stillmatic
2.God Son
3.It was Written
4.ILL-matic

Those are great albums. If you get those albums.Dont just listen to the beats he has and the chorus.Listen to what he is saying. The only rappers that can hang with him are

1.Canibus
2.mos def
3.talib Qweli
4.mad skillz.
5.cassidy

Well i said what i had to say.

I had to comment again on this subject of greatest rapper alive. I will forever say that Nas is the greatest rapper of all time. PERIOD. Dead, alive, retired. I just came from a concert he did in UCONN. Wow, for those of you who know what hype men are, listen. He has not 1 hype man. Unlike most rappers who need hype men. He has the mic and himself. He even did my favorite song of all time. It Ain't Hard To Tell. I still can't believe he did basically the entire Illmatic Album. It was the greatest concert I've ever went to. And I've seen basically everyone in concert. Oh by the way, Blackstar, Common, and a few others don't use hype men. Screw most rappers, using crutches (spelled wrong) hype men are for wack niggas. By the way I don't like fabo no more, cuz that nigga ain't nuttin but an over exagerated hype man. Bored everyone to death. Nas#1

In my opinion, to be the GREATEST RAPPER ALIVE, you need the combination of fame, flow, lyrics, and cred.

Jay-Z is a great rapper, hes got hot songs, he's made a lot of money, and had a lot of #1 albums, but so did NSYNC, so that's not the only factor. His flow is tight, but hes uses too much of Biggie's shit. Gotta be original man, its not everything, but gotta have some.

Biggie's the man, props to him, hes top 3 automatically, but he's dead. So he shouldnt even be there.

Tupac, I think, isn't as good as Biggie, but he still had such an impact on the rap game, and he had such great fame back in his day that he deserves some serious mention. He's still sellin thousands of records even now. Dead though, not on the list.

Mos Def, Talib, and Common are 3 of the most talented rappers in the game. Their shit is HOT. They might become more popular later on, when the mainstream discovers them (or when they decide to be discovered) but for now, if u ask random white kids who Biggie and Pac are, and then ask them who Common is, you're gonna get an answer that just can't make any of them the greatest.

Rakim and Kurupt can stay where they are, they were nice.

50 Cent, fuck that man. The dudes been around like 3 years. His albums have been nice, and hes made a shitload of money, but he's got Dre beats and Em's help. Besides, are PIMP, Stunt 101, or Candy Shop the best songs you've ever heard? No legacy man. What's he done for the game, 'cept G-Unit?

Kanye West? College Dropout wasnt THAT good. DEFINATELY not good enough to put him at #10. The dude is sick, but hes had ONE album. Nas has been around for a LONG time, and Kanye over Nas? Nas has too many good songs, amazing albums, and deserves way more respect than under top 10.

I think Nas is the #1 Rapper. Some people are gonna hate on it, saying he's overrated. But he sure as HELL is better than 50 Cent and Kanye. He's been around too long and is one of the most successful rappers in the world, ever. He's had so many top rated albums and #1 songs. He's got flow, I dont care what anyone says. His lyrics are real, thats important. He's been one of the most successful rappers over the last 10 years, Illmatic is arguably the best CD ever made, and he's the man.

Nas is the #1 Rapper Alive now, and if you don't believe me, smoke some weed and listen to Book of Rhymes. That alone makes him the man.
