hello, I think Charlotte Bronte is the best, especially her novel Jane Eyre. I myself have read it many times and everytime I find it more exciting than in the previous. I think Shakespeare is a bit hard to begin with especially when u have no passion for poetry.

I hope 2 find someone who likes Charlotte Bronte so that we can discuss her works and get richer.

Oscar Wilde and his drama as "Woman of no importance" and "Ideal Husband", also "Importance of being earnest" are well known in the Czech rep.

I like Jerome Klapka Jerome, it is easy to read in original version.

i'd say it got to be Jane Austen.Anyone saw the movie 'Becoming Jane'?Originally i don't know her much, but finishing it ,i'm dread to read all her works.Words so glariously flowed out from her pen, driving me heart &soul into the story.u got to watch that movie to know deeper about her life.VERY STRONGLY recommended!
