1. Who is wiser, Ram or Shyam.
2. Which is wiser, Ram or Shyam.

According to Grammer book sentence no. 2 is correct. Can anyone explain why?

If Ram and Shayam are people's names, then 'Who' is indubitably correct, not 'which'.
