Can we make this thread free from moderator 'steering'? Let's hear from English Forums Users, without comments from moderators (as far as if practically possible). Let's hear what YOU think!
Who really did 911? The World Trade Center disaster? Buildings 1, 2 and 7? What the hell pulled building 7 down?
Was it really a bunch of (racial slur removed by moderator), carrying Stanley knives? How did the savages ensure America's air defences were conveniently on holiday that day? Do you think that they think we are stupid?
Q1) How many of those said to have been responsible attended (and in some cases lived at) American Air Force bases? Q2) How many skyscrapers have ever collapsed due to fire (anywhere, ever, in the world)? Q3) Why did building 7 fall down? Q4) What was the value of the insurance policy for the WTC? Q5) How many people never turned up for work at the WTC that day? Q6) What is the whereabouts of the gold that was stored in the basement, but moved out only hours before the disaster? Q7) What is the difference between thermite and thermate?
(thanks Mods, for your cooperation in ensuring the voice of EF users is truly heard)
(Moderator - fine, but you still have to keep to the rules of the forum. I have edited your post merely to remove a racial slur. Such things are not acceptable here).

I can just say that nobody of us knows it exactly.

***! Many of us know what is really going on, and it has very little to do with foreign terrorists (they hardly exist outside Hollywood and the paid-off media). Q) How much did the Bush administration spend 'buying' media last year?

You want to say that the Americans had "introduced" it?

I'm not exactly sure who's the mastermind of the attack,
but two things are clear.
Firstly, just before the attack, Bush's approval rating was the lowest
but it soared when the US launched airstrikes against Taliban.
Secondly, rumors say that Bin Ladin is Bush's great friend.

So that explanation is stupid? What's the better one, this?

Here's a great quote from Michael Shermer regarding the backward thinking of most conspiracy theorists from an article in Scientific American (which I suggest you take a look at):
"The mistaken belief that a handful of unexplained anomalies can undermine a well-established theory lies at the heart of all conspiratorial thinking (as well as creationism, Holocaust denial and the various crank theories of physics). All the "evidence" for a 9/11 conspiracy falls under the rubric of this fallacy. Such notions are easily refuted by noting that scientific theories are not built on single facts alone but on a convergence of evidence assembled from multiple lines of inquiry."
In other words, true scholars take into account all the known facts about a given event, and based on a reasonably objective analysis of those facts determine what conclusion would best explain them. In contrast, the 9/11 conspiracy theorists seemingly always attempt to separate individual facts and discredit their proposed explanations in an attempt to counter the prevailing view. Yet, never do those same conspiracy theorists offer an explanation for 9/11 with less holes, anomalies, and logical fallacies as the conclusion they seek to discredit, and never do they address all the facts upon which the mainstream view is based.

I would suggest to you that it is people like this Michael Shermer (a hack writer for a magazine with dodgy owners? or a university professor?), who are failing to make, as you put it; 'a reasonably objective analysis of the facts'!
Although virtually all of the structural steel from the
Twin Towers and Building 7 was
removed and destroyed,
preventing forensic analysis,
FEMA's
volunteer investigators did manage to perform
"limited metallurgical examination"
of some of the steel before it was recycled.
Their observations, including numerous micrographs,
are recorded in
Appendix C of
the
WTC Building Performance Study.
Prior to the release of FEMA's report,
a fire protection engineer and two science professors
published a brief report in JOM disclosing some of this evidence.
1
The results of the examination are striking.
They reveal a phenomenon never before observed in
building fires: eutectic reactions, which caused
"intergranular melting capable
of turning a solid steel girder into Swiss cheese."
The New York Times
described this as
"perhaps the deepest mystery uncovered in the investigation."
2
WPI provides a graphic summary of the phenomenon.
|
A one-inch column has been reduced to half-inch thickness.
Its edges--which are curled like a paper scroll--have been thinned
to almost razor sharpness.
Gaping holes--some larger than a silver dollar--let light shine through
a formerly solid steel flange.
This Swiss cheese appearance shocked all of the fire-wise professors,
who expected to see distortion and bending--but not holes.
|
FEMA's investigators inferred that a
"liquid eutectic mixture containing primarily iron, oxygen, and sulfur"
formed during a "hot corrosion attack on the steel."
The eutectic mixture (having the elements in such proportion
as to have the lowest possible melting point)
penetrated the steel down grain boundaries, making it "susceptible to erosion."
Following are excerpts from Appendix C,
Limited Metallurgical Examination.
Evidence of a severe high temperature corrosion attack on the steel,
including oxidation and sulfidation with subsequent intergranular melting,
was readily visible in the near-surface microstructure.
A liquid eutectic mixture containing primarily iron, oxygen, and sulfur
formed during this hot corrosion attack on the steel.
...
The thinning of the steel occurred by high temperature corrosion due to
a combination of oxidation and sulfidation.
...
The unusual thinning of the member is most likely due to an attack
of the steel by grain boundary penetration of
sulfur forming sulfides that contain both iron and
copper.
...
liquid eutectic mixture containing primarily
iron, oxygen, and sulfur formed during this hot
corrosion attack on the steel.
...
The severe corrosion and subsequent erosion
of Samples 1 and 2 are a very unusual event. No clear explanation
for the source of the sulfur has been identified.
The rate of corrosion is also unknown. It is possible that this is the
result of long-term heating in the ground following the collapse of the
buildings. It is also possible that the phenomenon started prior to collapse
and accelerated the weakening of the steel structure. A detailed study
into the mechanisms of this phenomenon is needed to determine what risk,
if any, is presented to existing steel structures exposed to severe and
long-burning fires.
|
The "deep mystery" of the melted (actually EVAPORATED) steel may be yielding its secrets
to investigators not beholden to the federal government.
Professor Steven Jones
has pointed out that the severe corrosion,
intragranular melting, and abundance of sulfur
are consistent with the theory of
thermite arson.
