I can tell you are from the eastcoast. I agree with you with some of the rappers you listed. I'm from Texas, so we listen to a lot of screwed and chopped music down here. But our influences are still the East and West. I think east coast rappers focused more on the lyrical calculation than the content and beat which is great but Tupac is religion, his songs are spiritual, no one raps or can emulate his original style even till this day. I think Biggie (lyrical genius, but overated) is so big today because him and Pac have been linked together eternally and he was the east coast fallen hero in the east vs. west back in the day. It took me 3 years to convince my homeboy that Pac was the greatest but like most pac fans, his music strikes a spiritual chord at a certain time, now my boy is addicted. I'm going to give you great songs to listen to, to understand what I'm talking about. 1.Hellrazor 2.Soldier story 3. So many tears 4.Only god can judge me 5.Black jesus 6.Lord knows 7.Do for love 8.I ain't mad at you 9.Blasphemy 10.Hold your head 11.When thugs cry 12.Rearview 13. How long will they mourn me. Just a couple to listen to, it's beyond rap. For all those true 2pac fans, I'm trying to spread the word.

the greatest rapper of all time is Ladies Love Cool James- LL Cool J, He even says it in his album " The G.O.A.T". He has been around since 1985 and still flowin for the kids. All of his albus went Platinum and beyond that. 2Pac sold more Cds dead while he was alive. Thats some funny crap right there.

no doubt man...pac was the best.i think he made the way for rappers like 50cent,nas especially,ja-rule(pac wannabe) and then my feature presentation..young buck of g-unit.man,u need to listen to his debut, straight outta cashville.that album is the bomb.like he said he put in his best.pac is the best but for now am sure 50cent and young buck will need to have an annulment on who's da best in the hardest core rapper.

I am a rapper myself and I think that most of you who post here do not look at the lyrics, punchlines, flow, syllable complexity or anythin that matters (when it comes to a raper's lyrical skills) when u post so I have decided to educate ya'll by listing the best rappers in two categories: the most talented/greatest MC and the most legendary/influental
Here it is.. Most talented/greatest MCs
1. Eminem-he probably has some of the worst beats and his first singles usually end up being the worst songs in the album but when u listen to Marshal Mathers LP or Eminem Show LP u cannot deny that he is by far the most talented punchilne, lyrical rapper of all time. No one can even come close to him when it comes to lyrics... Favorite eminem songs: Kill you, Criminal, Till I collapse, Soldier, The way I am, Stan, Remember Me, Marshal mathers, Cleaning out my closet, white america, Sing for the moment, When the music stops etc etc... I can go on and on but Ima leave it at that... No one can match him lyrically and i don't really think it is arguable unless u really hate him for some reason
2. Nas - great lyrical flow, real deep, smart. ---- more on him later for now i just feel like listing but there will be more coming soon on all the other rappers that follow
3. Biggie-
4. 2PAC -
5. Big L
etc etc etc.... Others include Rakim, Jay-z, Big Pun etc..
Most Legendary/Legendary
1. Tupac
2. Biggie
3. Eminem
4. Nas
5. Jay-z
I don't think there is a better list out there... For all of you who disagree I suggest for u to buy or download full albums by all these artists and then judge for yourself. If u know anything about rap and hip-hop u will agree with me 100%... anways peace out yalllll

aight this is how i am gunna put it down for eveyone to know and be heard fuck biggie! he set up tupac in 94 and doesnt know who shot him and yet syasy he runs his block that shootin happened in new york biggies so called turf. HE is an ungreatful fat ass who says he reps the east which in earlier source and vibe mags he was posing four fingers for the west. Tupac started him at concerts fucked his bitch gave him his name and gave him reason to rap and biggie all of a sudden says he is hard no no no number one tupac gave biggie a style for him to run with and pac promoted biggie major album that kicked off bad boy records and tatted notorious on his damn fore arm and gave him everything to kick him off and then the ungratefull rat sets tracks and traps disses his creator biggie says the streets made him tupac made him he has never killed anyone by what he says he even confessed this to pac and in rap pac has every hood subject down no Q pac owns him lyrically and dropped way more hits then biggie did and is respected and a complete different level so dont even say biggie is the best there is no way you could compare them u can have ur opinon not saying u cant but damn atleast think ur shit through biggie never amounted to the street cred tupac has u dont c biggie making money still u dont see biggie is still alive grafiti on walls cuz he aint dont even comprae them its 12 at night right now i would lecture u more but i am doing research on real rappers not fake ones like nelly
- biggie
fuck jay z too he is no where cloe to nas jay has never had a political song once and doesnt produce his tracks so dont get it twisted dirt of ur shoulder is a timbaland track and moment of clarity is an em track jay z dont even make sense wen he talks he cant preach at all he wanted beef with nas and nas killed him jay cant say it to nas's face jay z is a disrespect to really poets bottom line jay z aint big
-jay z
50 cent wanted beef with ja rule cuz he knows he wont back his shit up ja aint a gangsta he fronts 50 picks on all the lil guys like mase cuz he is a fag either way and p diddy who dances and raps like a monkey and give ppl a reason to call rap crap 50 cent is a over confident rapper with a big ass ego and wont speak shit on anyone on his level trying to be like pac starting beef if he ever said that to real gagnstas his ass would be dead for sure he has been shoot nine times i wonder why his tenth came recently at a club its clear that 50 aint wanted with his shit he talked on shyne the only bad boy who is hard and got owned on more or less thats wat he gets for opening his mouth on for the record
-50 cent
k bottom line nas is the the second best pac is the first aight and that might never change but no1 has made more money not even jay z cuz he is still alive has made more money then pac the greatest poet shyne would be up there canibus blac haze and afrika bambaataa up there these r the greatest poets of our times period. dr dre is gay and not the best producer out there i name u one better bambaataa and magic mike luke and more snoop is tight and last but not least ice cube and easy e
westside til we die so dont bring ur biggie smalls shit here breaker for life if rap is crap then take ur rock back to ur damn trailor park cuz no matter wat pac and nas is a force no1 can stop and rap wont stop til we drop rap isnt back it wont leave until everyone sees how much tupac and nas effect reality and history
payce westside
