Who's the greatest rapper of all times

KRS-One is a great artist. I wouldn't go so far as to call him a rapper. KRS-One would rather be called an emcee because of his love and his respect for hip hop.

I FEEL THE THING THAT SEPARATES RAPPERS AND EMCEES IS THE LOVE FOR HIP HOP. RAPPERS ARE MORE ABOUT MONEY, ETC. EMCEES ON THE OTHER HAND ARE MORE ABOUT HIP HOP/MUSIC.
EMCEES AREN'T ALL ABOUT CASH, CLOTHES, CARS, AND HOES. THEY'RE ABOUT THEIR MUSIC.

Sorry, I don't intend to knock anyone on any of their opinions. I'm just saying that i don't think rappers and emcees are the same thing, they shouldn't even be in the same category. It's like comparing rock to punk, it's not right because it's wrong.

Now, I think the greatest rapper is/was 2PAC because he reached out to people when he was around and he still has a role in music today. 2Pac was a great rapper, but he didn't exactly have the best lyrical ability. I feel that RAKIM was the greatest rapper of his time. Rakim was ahead of his time with music and his lyrical ability was uncomparable to anyone in his time. I wouldn't go so far as to calling Rakim an emcee though, but he was the greatest of his time. I'm sure if Big L was still around he would have been a great influence, perhaps another 2Pac.

Aight, bar none the greatest rapper of ALL TIME is NAS. Nas' lyrical ability is off the wall and is unmatched by anyone who steps up. I know Nas doesn't settle very well with a lot of people, but if people can look at his ability rather than his image they'll immediately see what sets Nas apart from all others.

Look you look at it lyrically then tupac obviously wins lyrically he didnt make songs he sang peoms to you all that biggie rapped about was crack and women. im not saying he is bad or anything i mean the kid could flow but he was lying over half of the stuff that came out of his mouth. and lyrically pac made you think. most rappers mainly focus on one area of rap/hiphop like biggie rap and love ballads but pac rapped about it all he had to hit it from everyside pac is the greatest so srry brooklyn i have 2 go with L.A.

The greatest rapper of all time is Tupac, no question. His lyrics meant something, unlike 90% of other rappers. He spoke about real life shit; he was the closest thing to a Malcolm X that this generation ever saw. And you people need to think when you say Tech and Jay-z are the best....Tupac DIED when he was 25.......The guy was a legend and he only lived to 25......If Jay-z or Tech or any other rapper died when they were 25, they wouldn't have even been known. Jay-z wasn't even makin shit until after Pac was killed. Jay-z STARTED his career when he was 26. Pac started at 18 with Digital Underground and dropped his first album (2pacalypse Now) when he was only 20. Imagine all the shit Pac could have done in the last 8 plus years. The dude could write songs faster than ANYONE and they were DEEP songs, not some bling-bling bullshit. Biggie even said in an interview how Pac went to the bathroom and 10 minutes later he came out and he had written 2 whole songs while he was on the shitter. This was when Pac and Big were boys. Pac is the one that started Biggie, for all yous who don't know. Pac let Big come on stage with him and rap in the middle of his show, before Pac did 'Keep ya head up' and 'I get around'. Nobody knew Biggie for shit until Pac listened to his demo and said it was tight and he gave Biggie money, taught him the rules of the rap game, gave him knowledge and everything. Then Biggie backstapped Pac and went with Puff. All when Biggie was on stage with Pac he was screaming 'Thuglife'....then when Pac went to jail, he seen Biggie wasn't saying 'Thuglife' anymore. Biggie stole Pac's style and everything. 'Ready to die' was all Pac's life; Biggie was rappin about Pac's life in his album. All that champagne and shit, that was Pac buyin him that, cause nobody knew the nigga in NYC. So when Pac was workin on 'Me against the world', he saw Big put out 'Ready to die' and he was like 'what the fuck?'. 'Ready to die' sounded just like Pac's shit and Pac had to change all his shit on 'Me against the world'.....because Pac's whole album was dealin with death. But go listen to Biggie before he met Pac and after he met Pac. Go listen to 'Party and Bullshit'....listen to his style. Then after he met Pac, he went from 'party and bullshit' to 'big poppa'....cause of Pac. And who do all the rappers today bite off of and praise?? Pac!!! Not Big. Every phoney rapper out there (ja rule, 50 cent, eminem, nas, jay-z, master p, dmx) they all either stole Pac's style, bit of his image, literary took his songs and "remade them", praise him in the news, do remixes that Pac would never have done, etc. Who bites Biggie?? Nobody. They don't bite nobody but Pac. So many rappers have went and said on the record that Pac was the best ever. Eminem said it, Nas, Ja Rule, 50 Cent, Bone Thugz, Master P, Treach, Obie Trice, etc. And Pac is loved all over the world. Biggie is mostly East Coast. Niggaz out in Cali don't be bumpin Big's shit. But niggaz in NYC be bumpin Pac's shit.

We all know The Notorious B.I.G. was the greatest and will always be the greatest no one can ever surpass the level that he got up to, his lyrical talent can not be matched, even with his tragic death. only for some short 3 years he was out, and dont get me wrong tupac was hot too but in the short time Biggie was out tupac never couldve matched it. R.I.P. Notorious B.I.G. East coast, Junior M.A.F.I.A./ BAD BOY 4 LIFE / BROOKLYN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man,six o'clock, the greatest rappers of all time can't be straight up underground dudes. Just cause some dude can spit fire over some whack ass beats don't mean thhey the hottest of all times. There is only one person I could place in that category...Chino XL. All them other cats need to do something at least semi-spectacular. Anyways the greatest of all times, in no particular order.

1. Eminem- Face it. Love him or hate him, lyrics don't lie. I only heard him spit one weak verse and it was on that Outsiders EP piece of shit. The Marshall Mathers LP baby!
2. Big Pun- The most underrated MC of all time. Son could flow any way he was needed to on any given record. Capital Punishment baby!
3. Jay-Z- Another guy many people don't give props to, sayin' he only raps about cars, clothes and cash. This dude could make a whole album about one subject and each song would be unique. Next person who says he is a horrible rapper I'ma ..... Hard Knock Life baby!
4. Biggie- I could remember the first time I heard Juicy. Man! East Coast is back homie! One of the most versatile of all time. Lyrics, flow, whatever. Just imagine if he and Pun were around at the same time! What if?!?! Life After Death baby!
5. 2Pac- I like Pac, he is one of the greatest (not the greatest) ever but he is also the most overrated MC ever. I never understood why he is put on such a high pedestal but every one is entitled to their own opinion. The Seven Day Theory baby!
6. Nas- Although I hate this guy from time to time, he is probably the deepest MC ever next to pack. Pick up Nastradamus and really listen to it. Whoa! Illmatic baby!
The best of the rest in no particular order:
Big Daddy Kane Method Man Redman
Rakim GZA Raekwon
Kool G Rap Ghostface Big L
Slick Rick Masta Killa Freddie Foxxx
Chino XL KRS-One Prodigy
Lauryn Hill Ice Cube Canibus
Guru Busta Rhymes LL Cool J
Chuck D Andre3000 Big Boy
RZA Scarface Ludacris
Common Black Thought Ras Kass
The ones who should be here soon:
Lloyd Banks
Young Buck
Game
Fabolous
Joe Buddens

The most versatlie ever:
Biggie
Jay-Z
Big Pun
Method Man
LL Cool J
Ghostface
Raekwon
Ludacris

Yo, I'm sure that I forgot some people on this list but at least you got an idea.

WAZ UP MY NI**AS! WANNA HEAR MY RAP? PIMPIN!

I’m RapperPhenomenon and I came here to say
That I have a proposition I plan to dish out today

I want to join up with ya’ll and help bust this beat
“Ain’t got no time?” Fine. Watch me stir up the heat!

Yo homies you think that only a guy can rap
So back that azz up and watch me spin this crap

I can bust a rhyme just as good as the rest
No autographs please; I know I’m the mothaf***in’ best!

Don’t say that I’m cocky, I just know that I’m good
Don’t stand and gloat ni**as; go and knock on that wood

I rap better now then I did ever before
I ain’t done yet, I can spit out some more

My father ditched my family when I was only eight
He said that he loved me and that I was great

But now he’s with a fat b**ch that has a daughter you see
And thanks to that whore, she took the place of me

Now I’m f**kin’ pissed, I wish I could change the past
But I can’t, and if I could, their ‘love’ wouldn’t last

I’d bust it up, because they think they can diss my mom
And get away with it, well they’re motherf**kin’ wrong!

The daughter is younger than me, and thinks we can be friends
She took my father! I just want her life to end!

(It may sound malicious, but my dad’s new girlfriend’s daughter disses my mom then takes my dad, so now I gotta beat her a$$!)
