Sorry to hear about that, I am new to this site and I wanted to learn more, I hope I had followed the rules here and hope I can learn something from you guys. In connection to anonymous names, I guess some of them wants their personal information private, if not, maybe they are spammers.

It's only my opinion. But I think it can be possible.

I tried to register and pick a screen name. I kept getting a message saying that there was an error. This happened about six times before I gave up.

Sorry to hear that! At what point, exactly, did you get the error message?
Did you receive the activation email or did the message show up before filling the boxes with screen name and email address?

hi, grammar geek, can I ask you some questions about the forum for my research?

What kind of questions do you tend to answer in the forum? What motivates you to answer?

and how do you interpret others' questions before you answer?

I am very thankful if you could express your opinions with me.

I need the participants' views desparately.

Thanks
