I was watching Tyra ask Clay Aiken "Boxers or Briefs" and the women all paused and excitedly waited for an answer.

What does the phrase "Boxers or Briefs" infer to?  (What is the hidden meaning / joke to this question?)

I'm guessing that it infers to a male being well endowed.  So after searching some search engines some answer (Boxers for more "space" for "it")  Others answer (I need briefs to support my big gun so that it doesn't dangle while I walk)  So either answer could be used to infer to being well endowed...

But I think the girls want the guy to say "Boxers" for more space for "it".. since they wouldn't understand why men would wear briefs.  My guess is that briefs are commonly known to support less endowed men, which is why women hope for the guys to say "Boxers"

Am I right?

No, I don't think it is that specific; there is no inference/inplication-- it is just a humorous interest in the style worn.  And boxer shorts don't support any sort of genitals-- they are loose-fitting.

But will have to wait for a definitive answer from the distaff side.

'The question is,' said Humpty Dumpty, 'which is to be master-- that's all.'
