Hi teachers,

Would you help me this sentence structure?  I don't understand why "has" is used and not "is"?

Excerpt:

When Spain capped it last year, the world's second-biggest solar market callapsed - and so has the price of solar panels, down percent in 2009.

Thank you.

Regards,

Tinanam

'Has' is not omitted; 'collapsed' is, but it is fine:

...and so has the price of solar panels (collapsed)...

Has collapsed is the full verb; the second 'collapsed' (note spelling) has been omitted.

'The question is,' said Humpty Dumpty, 'which is to be master-- that's all.'

Dear Mister Micawber,

It helps now.  Is it alright to have the "has" omitted here?  Or is it simply a printing error?

Thank you.

Tinanam
