Hey folks, I really wonder one thing. Why do humans want to see real things? Because we've got 5 senses.. Why do believing sipiritual things seem so hard to us or most of us? I mean, if God is so almighty and strong and can do everthing, why doesn't he show himself? Yeah.. why doesn't he??What is the rule or logic behind this? What I have observed from the people who say they don't believe in God is that they want to be convinced strictly by real things. They want to see God. That is not true. Science states that every human is born with the same IQ so what makes them think differently from us? Uhh.. what? Being 'different' is not about IQ at all! Family? Definitely. If it is family, why my uncle doesn't believe in God but his daughters and sons believe? Because everyone is an 'individual' Culture? Genetic? Environment? Or all of them? Yeah all of them (oopss, no not genetic!!!) but the most important is "what is going through your mind, what you think"
Apart from these, what surprises me most is what Qur'an says about this. I will make a summary for you. It says when prophets tried to convince people that God exists, non-believers wanted prophets to convince the. One of the prophers turned a river into blood, turned a stick into a snake, the other one seperated the moon in half and gave life to a dead body but still non-believers refused to believe in God. I couldn't find the Sura but I will try to translate it for you in Qur'an it says: " No matter what miracles they ( mean prophets) showed to them ( mean non-believers) they still refused to believe in God. They wanted to be shown real proofs but when showed, they refused. God knows what lies in them." This clause really affects me I must say. Maybe everything is to do with intention. If you don't have any intention to believe, no matter what is shown as a proof to you, you will still not believe. Yeah, If you don't want to believe in something, if you are conditioned that you won't believe in it, than no matter what is shown to you, you will not believe in it. OR you've got other ideas, thoughts, arguments that make much more sense than others.. so much more sense that it takes the top place of the pile of arguments. You see what I mean? In this case believing a God has no difference than believing unicorns. This belief is under lots of stuff coz I've got stronger and convincing ones above, to me, of course.
Another thing I observed from some of the non- believers is that they feel guilty. I don't mean to generalise but the people I know were believers at first then they stopped believing and they feel guilty now for this and though you don't say something directly for them, they misunderstand you. The big problem is that they cannot tell this truth to themselves either. If you ask them, they don't feel so but when you talk about something different, they think that you are critising them and start to defense themselves. Anyway, I wrote too much. Thanks for reading me. I haven't observed such thing but sometimes everyone is sceptical. Why woul they feel guilty anyway?
