You're talking about 'superfetch' the preemptive cache, must say it's actually a great idea..

However, Vista is a terrible example of an OS, and I'm not even going to say why. Look it up, or just use Vista to develop a large web app on a dual 2.4GHZ / 4GB laptop with 2x7200rpm 160gb sata drives..

I found myself (for a short time) defending everything Microsoft did - I don't know why that was. Vista finally shook me free of it (helped earlier by ie6/ie7).

Mike, if you want to install Mac OSX - you'll need to look into one of the hackint0sh distros

Yo! Jolly good fun! Cheers and beers :-)

@Hitch;

Thanks for the link. Looking into it now (with fingers crossed that OS X supports more than one mouse button) :-)

 Intel dumps Vista

"According to a memo circulating a few weeks ago, it looks like Intel is taking a wise decision and avoiding the Broken OS entirely. Yes, Intel is not going to use Vista on its corporate machines... ever. "
