 In the following dialog there are only two people.

- Didn't you audition for the chorus last year?
- Yeah. Uh, yeah.
- You're with the library?
- Yes, that's right.
Sorry for the stupid question but by the underlined does the person mean that 
the guy was in the group of the library or he's been in line after the library?

Hi Madhulk.  We don't consider any question here to be stupid.

My take is that he is asking if the other person works at the library, or is in some other way associated with the library.
