The cold-blooded murderer killed the old man without showing any emotion.

Hi,

Is it correct to replace 'without showing any emotion" with "indifferently?" Thanks.

Hi,

No. 'Indifferently' refers to how the murderer is feeling/thinking 'inside his head'. It doesn't describe what he shows or doesn't show on his face.
