I have been commented by my teacher and he said, give a real thought to your word choke, what does that mean?

Hi,

Perhaps he said '. . . your word choice'?

Best wishes, Clive

Hi Dave,

Me neither, but I'm sure that you misheard what he said.

He typed it up...

Truly, only "choice" makes sense. Perhaps he mis-typed and then blindly accepted the suggestion of his spell checker. But the only way to resolve this is to simply ask him. I will be willing to bet that he will say something like "Oops - I made a typo! I meant 'word choice' of course."

If it was a typed comment then it is even easier to see it as a mistake than if it had been spoken. It would be hard to confuse 'choice' with 'choke' in speech. However, the letters o and i (the correct letters) are right above the letter k (the typo letter). He must have hit the wrong key 'k' instead of one of the correct letters, and the spellcheck changed it to choke without him noticing.
