Words , words everywhere
From the little girl learning to talk
To the toddler shouting at her top
It is words that sail
From a mother’s caresses to the babies' smiles
It is words that follow
From the girl’s heart to the boy's heart
It is words that travel
From the granddad’s recliner to the kids’ hugs
It is words that traverse
Words, words everywhere
Scattered here and there
Words, words everywhere

But, after all, they are nothing but signals,
And all you need is nothing but their musicals

Very true indeed! Thanks!

Hello Anita!

Just a small thing: it would have to be 'at the top of her voice' (the toddler shouting).

Thanks Mr.P. Is it ok now?

That should do it. I like 'words that traverse/Words'.

Do you read poetry in other languages, Anita; or mostly in English?

Frankly, I don't know any other international language... English is all I read and English is all I teach.. I heard that there r good poems in French. But again, I don't like to read translations... I feel they lose the essense of the original.

Of course I do read poetry in Indian Languages.

Hello Anita

I was interested, because I wondered whether you'd done any more translations – the one you did on another thread worked quite well!
