tv show jepardy ask question what state has no consonants in spelling

the answer was tennessee I dont understand why

The clue listed only the vowels. It was up to the contestants to figure out which state had those vowels in that order.


AIE would be Maine

IIIA would be Virginia

EEEE is Tennessee


I don't know which ones they listed, but apparently EEEE was one of them.
