There is an infinite number of opportunities to waste time on the Internet.

I went to a Bangor, Maine newspaper website and they have all kinds of ways to waste time. Voting numbers are crunched and displayed in all sorts of imaginative ways.
So of course a time-wasting dumbass like me has to explore each and every one of those lists.
They have one list: "Show Precincts Not Reported" that drew me in like a magnet. They name the precincts and how many registered voters are in each unreported precinct. Under "Washington County" they have this listing: "Twp 19: 2 registered voters".
The polls closed yesterday evening. It's 11:20 am, of the next day, in Maine. There's a maximum number of two voters.
Did they hire a one-fingered counter, or are they waiting to report last to see if their maximum-two-votes can change the results of one of the issues?
"The tax hike leads by one vote, but precinct Twp 19 of Washington County has not yet finished counting their vote(s)."

Hancock County has some pretty slow counters too.
HANCOCK COUNTY
# Frenchboro: 64 registered voters
# T3 ND: 5 registered voters
# Twp 28: 3 registered voters
# Unorg Twp 8 SD: 72 registered voters
# Unorg Twp DTT9 T10: 9 registered voters

Usenet is so cool - people can talk to themselves about nothing.
