Hello Sir,
---------- you make a cup of tea?
(would/could)
Which one of the two choices is correct?
I think both are correct, because "would" and "could" botheare used for polite request.
What is your opinion?
Thanks.

To be most polite you would say, "Could you (please) make a cup of tea?".
You are right, though. Both are correct and used in polite requests.

Hello Jim,
I thought that "Would you please..." was more polite / formal than "Could you please..."
Isn't that so ?
See you,
