Hello,

Firstly I want to tell you I'm from the Netherlands.

On school we have to learn English.

Because my English isn't the best; I wanted to look for a English forum to increase my English.

Yesterday I got the task to write a letter in English.
I have done it; but I want to know if it's correct English.

If you want to check it for me; I will be happy!

I'm not a hit-and-run person; I want to stay on this forum. :-)

If this isn't the meaning of this forum; please say it to me and I will looking for another forum.

My English (very) bad. Stick out tongue [:P]

Here is my letter:

Dear sir,

My name is Lennard. I'm nearly sixteen years old. I live in Ter Aar, a little village lies in The Netherlands. I'm in the fourth form.

I have read the story of a Senegalese high school student who was left by his mother in 2002 when he was 14 years old.

I think it´s very clever to go to school without parents, and even win a price with a robot.

But maybe he will be sent back to Senegal. It's a pity that he becomes eightteen years old; when he was still a young, he had more chances to stay in the United States of America.

I would like to help Amadou because the whole story about him touches me and I want to help him to stay in the United States of America: Every little helps...

Futhermore I am happy to tell you that I collected very much signatures of students and teachers from my school (I suppose it are more than thousend pieces!).

I attach the petition in the hope that this will work and that you can reach something with the signatures.

Yours faithfully,

Lennard.

If you want to correct it; I would like to stay on this forum. Big Smile [:D]

Ow; Another question; where can I register me?

Attn. Mr R. E. Arnall

Dear Sir,

My name is Lennard. I am sixteen years old. I am from Ter Aar, a little village situated in the Netherlands. I am in the fourth form.

I have read the story of a Senegalese High School student, who was left by his mother in 2002 when he was just fourteen years old.

I think it’s very brave to go to school without parents and even win a prize with a robot.

But may be he will be sent back to Senegal. It’s really bad that he might have to leave USA even though he is going to be eighteen years old in few days.

I would like to help Amadou because the whole story about him touched my heart and I want to help him to stay in the United States of America.

I am glad to inform you that I have collected lots of signatures from students and teachers of my school who are supporting me in this mission. (I think these signatures are more than thousand in numbers).

I am attaching the petition along with the signatures of all, in the hope that this will work and you can do something for Amadou to stay in USA.

We are expecting your favorable response on this petition. Thanks in advance.

Yours faithfully,

Lennard
