Hello all!! I am new to the forum and am looking for help. I am writing a letter to a prosecuting attorney in order to get a speeding ticket reduced to a non-point violation. Any tips on what style I should write this in? Also, any tips that have worked for people in the past? Thank you_Ryan

Try the obsequious approach.
D.A.s are cops, and all cops like it when you
acknowledge their power over your life.
obsequious (òb-sê´kwê-es, eb-) adjective
Full of or exhibiting servile compliance; fawning.
[Middle English, from Latin obsequiosus, from obsequium, compliance, from obsequì, to comply : ob-, to. See OB- + sequì, to follow.]
- obse´quiously adverb
- obse´quiousness noun
