Hi all,
What sort of letter do i write to my teacher thanking her for what she's done - teaching me.
Is it a formal/informal/semi-formal letter? Do i have to include her address (in addition to mine) at the top of the page?

I think an informal, personal letter would be very nice. Let's see what others think.

Hi
I don't know, I think you should write a formal letter, that comes better in my opinion...

HP: It's my first article and my English isn't so good / bad, but I hope you understood it

Hello Spinnaker, welcome.

Well, it all depends really where flame comes from, and what the social expectations are. I suppose if it were a teacher in the far or middle east, a formal letter would be more appropraite as you suggest.

Hi
You've got right! I have forgotten the social expectations. (I hope I take the right tenses otherwise: sorry)

bye

Actually, Spinnaker, it was your reply that made me think about the social expectations - so thank you! Smile [:)]

I don't understand your answer! Why have I made you think about the social expectations? You was that, which has written this!?

Yes, I did write it, Spinnaker. It was when you said that you thought a formal letter would be better that I thought of social expectations - so you prompted me to think a little more. Smile [:)]
