You can eat dark chocolate to your heart's content because it is lower in fat and sugar than milk chocolate.

Which of the following is closer to the above in meaning? Thanks.

You can eat as much dark chocolate as you want ...

You can eat whatever amount of dark chocolate you desire ...

I think it implies that the amount is not little, because "your heart's content" implies that you like it.

"Do X to your heart's content" tends to express a slightly amused or detached attitude towards "doing X".

I'm not sure either option conveys that aspect of the phrase.
